Singapore Airlines Sucks

Another vent here!!! We just recieved our confirmation for travel on singapore airlines enroute to sahkalin, 3 days ago. So just as a precautionary, I ringed Malaysia Airlines, to confirm space for our cat, and all was good. Then ringed Singapore sucks airlines, to also confirm space for the cat. I was informed that I must provide a 2 week notice , to have my cat travel with said airline. Hmmm, how the F was I too notify airline, if I just had tickets purchase 3 days ago, not by me but the official company travel agency, who has stated that they did say we were traveling with the pet, on their airline?????????? No amount of explaining to the idiot /s that I, or the ticketing agent, or the company liason, could make her understand , that if we needed to notify 2 weeks in advance, why would they issue ticket! Hmmm, maybe someone can explain this to me. So here we are 50 hours before departure, and we have been up all night , on the phone with liason in K.L. and travel agency in the Hague, who I must say went the extra mile for us , and stayed up to nearly midnight trying to find new routes. Unfortunatly , most countrys need permits to even transit for under 24 hours, and it takes a week normally to get said permits in order for the countrys we will transit in. I want to thank Wendy and Diana with the Carlson Wagonlit Travel company for having their collegues scouring the net to try and find us a routing where we could fly with Jr on the original dates without new permits. I also would like to thank Nora in K.L for staying up on the phone with us to nearly midnight, trying to go over all possible options. Also thank you Dr. Alvina Tan at Live Animal Clinic Miri, for helping us so very much. We finally have a new routing , Miri- Kuching- Kuala Lumpur- Bangkok-Frankfort-Moscow- sahkalin Island. About a 3 day journey. I can honestly say , I will not attempt to adopt any more pets whilst overseas, even though it is a comfort to me, to have a cat or dog, I think that this long of a flight will be very stressful to him, as he is rather high strung. Add to the fact that we are in a hotel that does not accept pets ( none are available in Miri) so he has been in boarding for 3 days now, and the conditions are not what he is used too, as he is a rather pampered kitty. i am also starting to resent the fact that the company will relocate your *family* as long as they are human. What about people like us who are beyond the child rearing age, and who have decided to have pets as our family. I feel that it is ubsurd that they will relocate familys who have ungodly amount of children , I have known a family of 10 , who had evil little brats, yet they cannot accomadate a family of three, even if the 3rd is a 4 legged baby. Its discrimination at its finest. So, for our familys info, we will be starting our journey, Sunday afternoon Malaysian time, sunday morning your time. We will not be arriving at our final destination, until 3 days later, and as it will be very late at night, we will need to purchase a phone card, the next day, and will call you asap. Also will try to email as soon as we arrive. We love and miss all of yall, and talk to you soon.

  1. I got a similar experience.. the Singapore airline totally sucks, and when I tried to call customer service, it seems I am in an another world. Fully fucking service. You didn't buy online ticket.... you have to struggle for all information. It will hide the details or .. put notes in simplified words, you will not get them easily. They are just after your money, not service.
